A PDF document is in full a Portable Document Format document. The main idea of having it is so that one can share certain files between computers whose compatibility between normal word processing formats is unknown. Therefore, it is a one file for all computers format.

You can have lock features in a PDF file, which will in turn bar unauthorized reading of top-secret files. Therefore, read on if you need to know how you can change your normal Word docs into PDF.

It is not difficult at all to convert a document that is in Word format to PDF format. You have to open the Word doc first.

For you to open a Word file you need to navigate to it and afterwards do a double click. This will open it.

When it comes to saving, you should click the option in the menu bar. Now, there are two possibilities of saving the file depending first on the version of Word that you use to make your documents. Some will have a PDF icon from which if you select, the file will save as such. Others have the option in the Save As

Of you have to use the drop down menu to save as a PDF File, do that by selecting File name (this will bring a menu) then out of these, choose PDF.

The name of the document can be altered if you feel like. You can define where on your computer the file should be saved. You can calibrate the manner in which the file will behave once you publish. Tell it whether it can open or not.

When it comes to publishing, there are two options that you may choose which will allow you to either see the PDF file open or may publish straight online, meaning you will not see the PDF file opening. Minimum size is the one that will limit you the option of seeing it open when you click publish. Therefore, in case you had selected the 'standard file' you will be able to see the PDF file open every time you click publish.
