Installing A Closet Organizer On A Budget

.

By Timothy Corcoran

Typically, today's closets consist of one rod and one shelf above the rod. Combine that with smaller closet sizes and you aren't left with much room to store your clothes. A closet organizer not only helps you to keep your clothes in a neat manner, but they also increase the amount of storage space you'll have. This is especially important when you have small closets.

Unfortunately, having a closet company come to your house and install closet organizers in all the rooms (or even just the master closet) is not really in everyone's budget. The good news is, you can have well organized and efficient closets in your whole house by purchasing closet organizer kits. And they don't have to cost you an arm and a leg.

Some more tips to help get your closet organized are as follows:

Hangers (Multi-tiered)

For really limited spaces, you can try multi-tiered hangers. These are perfect for holding pants or slacks and they are great at maximizing your closet space.

Extra Hanging Rod

To instantly multiply the hanging space in your closet, simply add an additional hanging rod. This is a shorter bar that has hooks on each end.

Racks For Shoes

You can add one or more shoe racks to your closet. There are a lot of options available out there. By adding a hanging pocket shoe organizer, you can inexpensively organize your shoes. They come with top hooks so there is no need for any tools to install. Just hang them up on an existing rod.

If it's possible, allow for more room in your closet by taking out items that either you seldom use, are out of season or aren't clothing related. You can store most of these items in plastic bins in the garage or in a storage shed.

So, you don't need to break the bank to find just the right organizer and accessories to make your closet as efficient as possible. All you need to do is a little online shopping. - 20763
