Jeff Dunham, fast becoming one of the most popular standup comedians in the world, is getting a little help from some of his friends. The thing is that none of his friends are human. His friends are a dead terrorist, a grouchy old man, a redneck NASCAR nut and a Woozle, just to name a few. Jeff Dunham is one of the best ventriloquists of all time and all of his partners are puppets.

As the only child in the family, he was inclined to invent imaginary characters to spend his time and overcome his shyness. He became interested in ventriloquism at an early age and began teaching himself the art. His first puppet was an old-fashioned Mortimer Snerd dummy. He first used his skills to deliver a book report in his third grade classroom. By the time he was in college at Baylor University, he was performing shows to paying audiences in the weekend.

In 1988, he moved to Los Angeles. He perfected his skills at a variety of comedy clubs, like the Improv, the Comedy and Magic Club, among others. His hard work was rewarded with an appearance on Johnny Carson "Tonight Show" in April, 1990. He was on his way to achieving critical acclaim around the world. He was also named "Funniest Male Stand-Up Comic" at the American Comedy Awards, putting him at par with Jeff Foxworthy, Jerry Seinfeld and Robin Williams.

Apart from his incredibly funny material, many people love his act mainly because it is so believable. The master ventriloquist and comedian make the audience believe that his puppets are actually human. Each have their own individual behavior that you are deceived into believing that the puppets are actually breathing living creatures, complete with personality and heart.

One of Jeff's pals is Walter, a grumpy old man who doesn't hold back his opinions. His facial characteristics are perfectly crafted to portray his permanently disgruntled personality.

Peanut, another one of Dunham's pals, is a Woozle, which is a fictional character adopted from the Winnie the Pooh stories. Due to his special construction, Peanut's moves very differently from most puppets. He also looks different, with a spike of green hair, yellow fur, purple skin and only one shoe.

And who can forget Bubba J, a beer guzzling NASCAR nut. Or Jose Jalapeo, a talking Jalapeo pepper on a stick, or even Achmed, the Dead Terrorist. All of Dunham's created characters come together to create a cast of unforgettable characters that will leave you rolling with laughter.

Jeff Dunham has made quite a few appearances on television, including award winning comedy specials. He has sold millions of DVD's and entertained audiences around the world. Now you can see this comedic genius for yourself. His tour is coming to a city near you. Buy your tickets and be prepared to laugh the night away. - 20763
