Bridal Shower Favors

It is customary around the world to give bridal shower favors or small gifts to the attendants of the bridal shower. Lately more and more people are asking the question why do we give favors at the bridal shower if the couple will be giving favors at the wedding reception? With finances in mind, many people believe that inviting them to the wedding is enough.

The thought of a bridal shower favor is to thank those who attend, for taking the time out to attend your bridal shower. There are much more to bridal shower favors than just being another gift or novelty! Bridal shower favors need to have an element of fun, have some sort of resemblance to the theme of the wedding and with a touch of class above all to remind guests of the bridal shower of the time shared for a long time to come.

The smile and appreciation on the face of your guests will remain long after the cost and effort you incurred with the favors has faded. If you had been to a bridal shower before and preserved some of those favors you received, you will know what they meant to you and the pleasant feeling you experience every time you see the favor or think about the shower.

But how do you go about choosing the appropriate bridal shower favors? Have a look at your budget first and take into account how many guests will attend the bridal shower before you gather ideas on bridal shower favors. If you expect 40 guests at the bridal shower, and you give each guest a favor to the value of $5 you will be spending a hefty $200 on favors alone!

A really useful and memorable idea for a bridal shower favor would most certainly be a key chain. You can literally find thousands of designs in all shapes and colors you would want to. A more personal choice would be to use a key chain of clear plastic. On the one side, you can fill it with a picture of the bride to be and on the other side an appropriate quote or personal message.

A great idea for bridal shower favors is anything with chocolate. Now who do you know that will not appreciate a chocolate favor? Three dressed up truffles in a clear plastic gift box wrapped up with a stylish ribbon is an ideal bridal shower favor. Another appealing chocolate gift will be to mold your own chocolate hearts or cupids and "glue" them together with a rich caramel toffee filling.

One of the best and most cost effective ideas is to get miniature potted plants from your nursery. Write down clear instructions on how to replant the miniature plant into a bigger pot and attach it on the ribbon that holds together the cellophane around the miniature plant. Guests will be able to cherish this favor for years to come. - 20763
